When I started 8th grade I was scared. I thought it was going to be extremely hard and I thought I wouldn't pass any of the assignments. I really enjoyed the teachers. They were really funny and in my opinion they were really trust worthy.
The teacher that I enjoyed the most was Ms, Linke. I think I enjoyed her the most because she told stories about her life that related to the topic we were talking about. But don't get me wrong I also enjoyed the other teachers. For example Ms. Stanfield taught me how to be a better writer. She taught me so much about being a better writer, that my poem, that I wrote in her class, got published into a poetry book. Another example is Mrs. Shoemaker. She was the funniest teacher I had in 8th grade. She would always have the best comebacks no matter what they were. My favorite one that she said was "Not everyone was born o sing". It was so funny!
The only bad thing about this year was the testing. That was horrible. We had to spend a lot of time sitting at a table doing irrelevant testing. At the end of the tests we had to do a survey about it. I wrote a lot about how we should have done something else because they were a waste of our time. Don't get me wrong we have to take tests but the tests we took took so long and I feel like we took a lot more tests than we did in the past.
This year I tried out for JV cheer. I made it! I am so happy! I tried so hard to become a JV cheerleader and my hard work paid off. I also worked really hard on my homework and my tests. I don't think anything else could have made this year any better. If I believed in perfect, this year would have been really close to it.
So yeah I guess you can say this was the best year I have had in middle school. All of the teachers were nice, the activities we did were fun, and last but not least, I am really happy with how far I have come since August to May. I am not afraid to give speeches or share presentations anymore and I also am not afraid to be myself. So thanks to all of the amazing teachers I had this school year.
